HOW IT WORKS—INFO FOR OWNERS
In Germany flat rental agencies like Bespoke Berlin charge the finder, not the owner, for finding a flat! All we need from you are the details and photos of your property. As part of the Bespoke Berlin service we can take professional interior photos for the flat profile at no extra charge.
The revival of Berlin since the fall of the Wall has seen it become a hub of creativity, business and architecture. Thousands of people are coming to the German capital for the short- to medium-term; many others are relocating here and need a place to start off in. Stylish furnished accommodation as well as well-situated unfurnished flats are in serious demand so there's no reason why your property can't be occupied 365 days a year!
Step 1. Offer your Flat
Fill in our online form to offer your flat. We'll send your flat profile to prospective tenants who will contact you about a viewing appointment.
Step 2. Rental Contract
Please notify us as soon as a tenant agrees to take your property, and if necessary Bespoke Berlin can issue a rental contract to you and the tenant. Please remember that a verbal agreement is also legally binding.
Step 3. Payment
After the contracts have been signed but before the keys have been handed over, the tenant should transfer a deposit (and possibly the first month's rent) to your bank account. Give the tenant a receipt if they pay cash on the day of the handover.
Step 4. Insurance
Have your flat covered by a personal liability insurance policy in case of accidents that aren't covered by the house insurance for the whole building.
Step 5. Handover/Return
Draw up an inventory listing the furnishings and equipment in your flat so this can be checked at the handover. It’s up to you and the tenant to agree who is responsible for the final clean up. Unless there are any outstanding bills or damages, you should return the deposit to the tenant soon after they move out.
